What is he signaling?
two minutes left of the half. could be a PC the way i've seen some umpires give them but if that's the case he's given it in his co-ump's D so i hope not! i'll stick wtih 2 mins.
hopefully this isn't a trick question.
Agree with alex. Either 2 mins to go or a PC in his colleague's D. Why...? ???
nah... he just needed two beers by the dugout!..........pffff! umpires!
yep ... 2 min to go
since the man in the background is waving back, maybe he was just saying hello
or is that the other umpire?!
is it a Lynx advert and he's about to be jumped on by hundreds of women? lol
Given your straightforward answer, Steve, I repeat my earlier question:
thats probably "2 min. left" or he (I sure hope it's a he from this side ) could be indicating a PC to his colleague who dismisses that thought
It was 2 minutes to go!
garli thinks he is signalling a touchdown! lol
Goal (as in Aussie Rules)
Y - M - C - A
yeah either 2 minutes to go or a spastic goal
"I'm No 1 ump here" he says... :lolsign:
He just nailed a triple backwards somersault, with a signal of 2 mins to go...... rofl
He is just letting hi top dry out properly
He's thanking (insert your omniscient deity here) for giving him the ability to make that call
I quite like the Lynx ad comment, but I think he's signalling that the defending players not involved in a PC are not yet behind the half line. The other umpire clearly umpires me a lot as he seems quite happy to put on the grumpy face and wave off the no doubt correct appeals from the defenders in the circle.
Sorry pilgrimdb, that's not it. In the rule book (under Umpiring Objectives, 4.1.c) it's clearly to indicate 2m remaining.
At this point we're all just taking the mickey listing other possibilities.
