It seems to when the international tournaments come around :(

And, Yes, it can be very difficult to 'spot the umpire', especially on those rare occasions when there are spectators behind him/her.....usually players waiting for the following game, so often in relatively bright colours.

I'm working in Tranmere at the moment...all Church Rd is being demolished! which is quite depressing but then again all the buildings were run-down and unused to I guess it's better to redevelop it. Sorry for the off-topic chat!

John - I guess (with the reference to accent) means you are more likely to be an Oxton lad than a scally from the Woody...

I haven't kicked the back heel out of my jeans out recently..... However what I was alluding to was that 28 years down south and the last five years sat next to a sarf lahndun geezer have left me with a distinctively southern, although slightly muted accent.

If fans don't feel as if they are in some way a part of the club, and therefore able to use the 1st person plural, then there is something wrong!

In the animal world (rather than the Animal world Down Under), aren't the giraffe blotches, leopard spots and zebra stripes meant to be camouflage?
Wait... just re-read that. How can giraffes blend in... ?
    Anyway...

And that bleedin' awful Liverpool shirt was described as 'ecru' but was more like a pus-coloured cream concoction. And I'm a Liverpool fan...

Snoody, if you highlight the url's in that text and use the Image Tag instead of the URL tag then the pics will appear in your post by magic

Remember, P - I live on a tiny island stuck in the Dark Ages just south of the Scillies and technology scares me.

I know SnoodlePoodle, I'm just trying to help you drool over the image of Keely in leopardskin rather more graphically...

    ...and she's a lucky gal.

(Have you noticed how all the Umpiring threads have gone way off beam while Keely's been away...?)

Whoa! All I said was that we'd gone off beam while Keely had been away.
