    you dont get any gumsheilds that cover the lower teeth unless you have to wear braces then the dentist makes them for you, and that expensive and hard to play with one in :) just wondering if hed been wearing a face mask would the damage have been as severe ?

    A face mask would probably prevented any injury more severe than a bit of bruising.

    Do we really want to end up being ice hockey players on grass because of one incident. Unfortunately for Verga, I think the punishment has to be severe enough to send out a clear message that this is just unacceptable. Don't increase protection so that players can swing their sticks about without fear of injury.

    I'm not sure which came first. Did GKs up their protection because of danger, or did dangerous play become acceptable because they were protected?

    probably a bit of both ;) but yeah i knew the answer to my question before i asked tbh just wanted to see what was said.
