    Olympics is one of the biggest event for Field Hockey. The interesting thing is that we see different teams reigning the hockey world in different decades. We, hockey fans only get World Cup, Champion's Trophy, Commonwealth and Olympics Games for global Hockey tournament. Besides this the regional, local competitions give a little treat to us.

    Talking about Olympics, the medal winners in last Olympics London 2012 were

    Men
    Gold - GER
    Silver - NED
    Bronze - AUS

    Women
    Gold - NED
    Silver - ARG
    Bronze - GBR

    This year, the 12 teams qualified for Rio Olympics 2016 are

    Men
    Group A: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Great Britain, New Zealand, Spain
    Group B: Argentina, Canada, Germany, India, Ireland, Netherlands

    Women
    Group A: China, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain
    Group B: Argentina, Australia, Great Britain, India, Japan, USA

    The event will start form Day 1 of Rio Olympics i.e. on Aug 6 and will end with the Gold Medals match on Day 14 which will be last day on Aug 19, 2016.

    The matches will start 13:00 GMT and will end after midnight around 2:00. Semifinals and medals matches will be played at 15:00 GMT & 20:00 GMT. You can check complete schedule and details here.

    The major online streaming channels for Rio Olympics are BBC (UK), NBC (USA), CBC (Canada), Seven Network (Australia), CCTV (China) FranceTV (France) ZDF (Germany) and many more.Many of the channels are free while some requires paid subscription.
