Same goes for Mr Luyckx...or maybe that's just because he's a 5 which balances the team ;)

BTW I think some of the Belgians are a bit underrated if you compare their points to say the GB team (which is of comparable standard?)

Maybe, but if you increase their points then you struggle to get a team under 100 lol

Sure, that's why GB had to go through a Qualifier to get to the Olympics in the first place ;)

We'll see who's best when/if they play each other :)

(btw just 2 weeks ago Belgium won 3-1)

Yes.... and if you read into it as they didn't have a proper umpire the game was downgraded so Belgium decided to increase the size of their bench and GB suffered several injuries meaning Belgium had more players to rotate and ultimately gave them a major advantage.

In the list of players, under the NZ team Phil Burrows isn't a keeper, paul woolford is the other keeper to pontifex.

Don't know about the lack of umpires since I was still in Amsterdam so wasn't able to go and see the game (although it was at my club), but the night before the 3-1 win/loss (depending which side you're on lol) they had another practice game and drew 1 all I think, with decent umpiring etc, so no excuses :p

Why is it that this time around we have less people nominating teams? more people on the forum i expected more people putting in teams but i guess i was wrong.

Dont be afraid people, you dont have to put much thought into it if you dont want, just pick a couple of favourite players and go from there

So far 16 entries. You still have till the 10th of august, midnight (GMT) to enter a team, after that you may still enter after consent from nerd_is_the_word :)

Small question for nitw to clear things up: do we have a possibility to 'transfer' a certain player after competition has started? It seems like it will be hard to keep up with the different scores etc, and with the limited amount of games it may be too much?

And what about injuries rendering a player unable to play?

yeah jerome: you dont actually need to put players in the positions they will be playing on the field, just where you would like them.

braxer001. unfortunately We cant really do player swaps during the tournament, because as you said its so short there isnt enough time and my system cant really accomodate it. But you can swap players in and out as much as you like before the tournament starts.

if your player gets injured.... sorry but bad luck, the way the tournament is designed (with 16 players and two travelling reserves) teams arent 'forced' to sit out two players for each game like they are at the world cup etc. so the DNP only comes into effect if your player is injured.

Ah ok, I thought it was the starting line up that would count for DNP :)

I'm OK on both things btw, was just asking to make sure :)
