Well the Queensland Premier League and state Open competitions are on this weekend, and I figured given that we have the board I might as well start spamming this one as well.

For those who don't know the Premier League and Opens comp is the Association's state championship. It's run over the Labour Day long weekend every year and the Brisbane first team have won the Premier League for the last few years.

The Pools for the Premier League are:
    Pool A
    Brisbane 1
    Cairns
    Sunshine Coast
    Brisbane 2

    Pool B
    Toowoomba
    Townsville
    Rockhampton
    Mackay

I'm going to tip a Brisbane 1 v Townsville final with Brisbane to win (Brisbane 1 is basically the Blades Squad with a couple of U21's)

    The state open Pools are
    Pool A
    Ipswich 1
    Brisbane
    Ipswich 2
    Gympie

    Pool B
    Gold Coast
    Bundaberg
    Rockhampton
    Toowooomba

I'm going to tip an Ipswich v Gold Coast final with a toss of a coin to separate them.

If anyone is going post it here, I'll be there as a spectator for a bit so we should try and catch up.

    Congrats on the umpiring Nerd.

Brisbane 1 v Rockhampton (Brisbane to win)

    and

Ipswich 1 v Gold Coast (Gold Coast to win). However I would like to see Gympie V Bundaberg.

Sorry won't be there still in WA :(

The teams in the finals have been decided, The Premier League final is at 2pm between

Cairns and Brisbane (Cairns beat Brisbane in the round robin)

The State Open final is at 12:30pm between

Ipswich 1 and Gold Coast, it will be the first time that the sides have met during the tournament.

It turns out that Gold Coast has Brett Livermore playing for them so I am going to tip them to win the final.

Cairns and Gold Coast won their respective matches, Brisbane 2 was relegated from Premier League to the Opens.
