    Hello all

I am making a return to the sport and to be honest, my fitness is... lacking somewhat. I go to the gym and generally lift weights but I have recently been doing some sprint work, depth jumps and other things like that.

Keen to do some "sport specific" work, exercises that will benefit what i do on the field.

Any suggestions (avoiding anything that involves excessive running haha)

    Thanks

Spend the time on Concept 2 Rowing Machine (30mins). On the days you don't row; go running. Rowing will build up endurance and running is more hockey specific. That's what I'm doing at minute but don't over-do the mileage. 6-10 miles is adequate.

This will prepare you for senior training. And suicide shuttle runs if your coach has an evil mind!

I do like pre-season training as I don't play summer league. Getting back in the zone is fun.
