Given their recent losing scores of 33-0 for the women and 30-0 for the men, what positives can the coaches and players take from such mismatched games? I know that there is the experience of being there and playing against world class opposition but is that all? I would hope that at least there would be an ongoing relationship between the countries which would lead to future coaching and management help.

Probably mainly that they have experienced what it really is like playing against some of the best teams in the world. Also, the free kit that the players give them probably doesn't hurt...

Have heard also that they are doing some mixed sessions with the AUS teams training wise. Really hope that's true.

PNG wanted to be included in the main draw rather than the 5's.

Perhaps next time things will be different (no gear for defending short corners so AUS/NZ asked to keep it low)

In rugby league and almost in cricket, but hockey seems a way off.
