Weighing up my options on what my next pair of shoes will be, that's all, but thanks for the possible assistance :)

So far considering either the adidas Lux or asics typhoon. However, also waiting on seeing if Osaka are releasing a shoe as well.

go for the Adizero over the Lux, I've used both now and would take the lack of waterproofing on the Adizero over the annoying 'tongue' on the Lux any day

My thoughts on my typhoons: if you play on sand, the durability is phenomenal. The traction is excellent, only fault is that the sole is rather inflexible and the upper seems to retain smell well, which is a bad property for a shoe to have..

I've got the Typhoons and the Lux's. Having owned Adipowers in the past.
After three games the Lux's have started to tear on the inside of the sole, whereas the Typhoons are still good after eons (they're the black and yellow 2013 ones).
But thats due to my feet being flat and very wide. Same thing happened on the Adipowers, but after two seasons. The inner tearing out on most shoes I wear -_-

Adidas (Adipowers/Lux) are both far more comfortable than the Typhoons, but not as durable.
Typhoons are very stiff and heavier than the Adidas'.

If the Adidas' wouldn't tear as frequently as they do I would definitely wear them.
But I'll have to settle for sore feet, and not a sore bank account.

Thanks for the comparison on those @Waxxxed :)

I need a pair of shoes those give me good support and good cushioning. Nearly always go for adidas, but have heard that the Typhoons are good for support of cushioning. Current pair of Zone Dox's are not good - always feel sloppy on the feet (as though the laces aren't done up).

Remember (in European markets at least) the new Typhoons are vastly different from the previous seasons - They're more like the Gel Neo's that have been around for years.

New comparisons would have to made between the Adidas Lux/Adizero and Asics Typhoons in order to get the facts/opinions on the latest improvements

I tried and tried and tried and tried, and only managed to get hold of one a couple of years ago at Lee Valley, where adidas had some they were selling off, weird thing was, argentina weren't even playing at the tournament. You cant buy them online though, if that is what you're hoping for.

I have a Argentina short that a friend got me at an event last year, shame it's bit too big. I do always wonder why these shirts aren't available online to buy as the market is there for them

I was considering Dita, as I wore those when I first started playing. However, I soon changed my mind, when I saw the state of a pair from someone at my club. One seasons wear, and they are in bits...... literally.

Not sure, but there demise shocked me. My ditas lasted me a few years.

Ordered some Adidas Lux's now. They have a boost sole so fingers crossed they are ok for me..

Not sure the Lux have the Boost sole @Parker72 ?

Its only the Fabela X that appear to have the Boost tech so far.
