I don't know if any of you can help me with this but there is this really great song/tune that I think would be really awesome to listen to before a game, but the problem is I don't know what it's called or if it even has a name. It doesn't have any words to it but it's the sort of music you hear when there's sports highlights on or on sports movies right at the end. But anyway if people want to list the sort of music they listen to before a game to pump them up I might get some ideas from that. I currently listen to Muse, Eminem, Queen, to name a few.

    Cheers,
    Nic

There is always eye of the tiger, but it depends I suppose. Sometimes listening to like rage against the machine would get me pumped up, but then others times some dance music such as daft punk would get me feeling all energetic etc.

Rage against the machine - Sleep now in the fire / killing in the name
Kasabain - Empire / Club foot (most kasbian stuff would be good really)

Will have a look at my music and post some more later.

That or Rock and Roll part 2. Which I don't think has any real speaking, but is in a lot of sports montages.

LOL, not sure which song you mean, but these are a few tunes I picked out of my iTunes that could work (they all kind of have a theme of defiance or determination or anger or whatever...Just give a listen). I don't normally listen to music before games, and if I do, it's usually just metal because of the heavy guitars and bass, or electronica.

Chumbawomba - Tubthumping (AKA "I Get Knocked Down")
Angelique Kidjo - Worth Fighting For (Hard to find on the net, but it's on the streetfighter soundtrack)
Dixie Chicks - Not Ready To Make Nice (Overplayed, but yea)
Dixie Chicks - The Long Way Around
Bif Naked - I Love Myself Today
Billy Talent - Voices of Violence
    Billy Talent - Red Flag
Bob Marley - Get Up, Stand Up
Evanescence - Sweet Sacrifice (Mostly because of the music :p)
Foo Fighters - No Way Back
    Garbage - Run Baby Run
Great Big Sea - When I'm Up
    Jakalope - Anthem 2
    Jakalope - Pretty Life
    KoRn - Twisted Transistor
Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit
No Doubt - It's My Life
    The Offspring - Can't Repeat
    Seether - Remedy
Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become
...and I second the vote for The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army

Probably the most important motiviational tune ever was " I believe I can Fly " coz if you visualise, believe , it actually happens and that is scientifically endorsed hence the whole psychology of excellence thing that took self doubting atletetes like Kelly Holmes to gold . Games are won and lost in the head not the body in my view and then if you believe , Queen's " We are the champions , or Tina Turner's " Simply the Best " comes into the equation. All sports are a struggle wiith the inner self in my view and success is about self belief and positive mental attitude. If the whole team have that sort of confidence then they are unbeatable.
That's it . Your head is where succes starts and finishes. Just my view . I belivieve I can fly and know no boundaries .

Google only works if the song has lyrics or is in a commercial or is the theme song to something...If not, good luck.

Exactly - and that song has lyrics. ;) I copied the phrase that Hot Shot typed, plugged it into my Google search bar, and presto - that link was the first one that popped up.
