    The commentator sounds like Ernie!

Arg 18 : 0 up against Uru - and still 22 minutes left.

    err : now 19

I'm blaming the commentator for calling them Ura gwey (if you get my written version of her pronunciation)

and would have been 22 had not Chicken Dance (sorry, can't resist) not kicked it in. Still 13 left.

13 all to the umpires - still 3 left.
    Not any more - finishes 29 : 0

That's how anglos in north america pronounce it; we're not all fluent Spanish speakers and are comfortable with or even know to pronounce it "uruhwhy". Ali's doing an amazing job, I think (and since she's my friend I'll probably beat up anybody that talks smack about her; just a fair warning). She's also an upcoming umpire here in Canada so officially under my wing. No dissing. ;)

Goalie64, I'm so busy I shouldn't even be typing this reply. I'm doing video analysis of the matches by tagging them with Longomatch and providing clips to the umpires and my boss, Sumesh Putra. It's been an amazing experience so far, and I'm looking forward to more exciting games and great performances from the team tomorrow.

I'm also looking forward to more than 3 hours of sleep tonight, so more updates when the tournament's over! :)

No offence meant, and I hope none taken.
My Spanish only stretches to "Dos Cerves por favor"
The fella doing the interview at the end also pronounced it the same way (and I didn't even mention Chil A)... ;)

Finally there's an umpire (and recent player) in the commentary box! Can't be an easy job, and being on your own must make it even harder.

Goalie64, um, your Spanish doesn't even stretch that far: it's "dos cervezas por favor"!!! :)

(Can I get away with this)?
(Mis)quoting Captain Mainwaring " Good, I was wondering when someone would notice that"...

(Even double checked the spelling, but obviously forgot to change it before posting)

Ali was only alone for that one game; otherwise if Hari Kant (who is now on his way to Boom) was around he'd do play-by-play and Ali the colour. When he wasn't available, Ali would shift to play-by-play and either Scott Sandison or John De Souza would commentate.

I think we're incredibly lucky here - this is only the second time I think we've had live streaming of an event with a professional videography team and full commentary, and the Streaming Sports Network is doing a great job.

Lots of great games on today via the Pan Am site - go have a look! :)

Anyone seen a higher international score than that? I played in a BUCS Cup game that we won 24-0 a few years ago, but that was low level BUCS Leagues and doesn't even rival a 29-0 scoreline!

ARG scored twice in the same minute on 2 occasions! and the longest time between goals was 6 mins!! Incredible!

    Australia 35 - 0 Papua New Guinea, Men's Oceania Cup, 11 Sept 2007

In 2005 Henrik Ehlers went to Suava in Fiji as a neutral for the Ocenaia Cup and experienced similar results in the AUS/FIJ & NZL/FIJ games, but that was a small price to pay for a week long, all expenses paid trip to Fiji! And he did get to umpire the AUS/NZL final.
