i am a bit confused about this because it was illegal, than it was legal, then it was illegal and now im just confused ???

can the keeper play the ball, while on the ground, with their LHP?

as part of a goal saving action.

So what is the understanding if the ball is near enough stationary lieing in the D... the keeper is either already on the ground or comes out to the ball and bats it away with his LHP?

    PS or simply ok?

Tell you what. Why don't you read the threads and tell us? Hint: the answer should be very clear if you do actually read through. :)

Re: keeper playing the ball on the ground with their LHP

Over the last few days, I've seen several passes out to the edge of the circle using LHP. Good hockey. Played on. No one had a problem with that.

One of the enjoyments of festival umpiring is the visitors' different styles of play - explore nooks and crannies of the rule book that local leagues don't visit.
