1-0 down at half time won 4-1.
That'll do nicely.
Went to watch the wife play in her first game outside of the tropics later that day. She enjoyed it I froze!
Always warmer without taking your kit off!
2 game weekend coming up, any tips to stay sharp for what could be a 6 point weekend and take us to 2nd in the league?
Halfway through the season with my third team and we're a point off top, so quite pleased with that.
However due to a 'keeper leaving I'm now moving up to the second team for the remainder of the season, which is daunting but exciting as they are also challenging for promotion at the moment.
Make that a 3 game weekend as Ive been asked to play for the 3's the game before my game
My tip would be to say no to the 3s...
2-0 win should have been a lot more !!! Two saves when we were only 1 up. But a win and a clean sheet !!!
Start of the 2nd half of the season... drew 0-0 with team we beat 4-0 at the start of thd season... suprise suprise the team we played was not the team we played at the start lol lol
2-2 draw away against the team 1 place above us in the league. They lost 4-1 to them earlier in the season. Was told they would have given me the m.o.m but that would alert the teams higher up in the club. Only downside was doing my hamstring making a full stretch save 10 minutes from the end. Was basically a passenger from that point but still managed to make one reasonable save. No game next week so I'm hoping the injury is not too bad.
@Inselaffen are you playing indoor on the 1st of February?
3-0 up within 20 minutes turned in to hanging on for a 3-3 draw against a team with a lot of players that I distinctly remember playing in a league game against our first team a few weeks ago...so not too displeased as it happens.
First game 8-0 win, didn't actually touch the ball. Second game Lost 1-0 (1on1 situation, not much more I could have done) and managed to land awkwardly on my defenders stick and crack a rib which really isn't fun. Third game 4-2 win (one goal I conceded was a flick which I'm so annoyed about still, second I made the initial save, came off my pads to a defender who passed it to the forward, nothing more I could have done) but oh my god the pain, I'm regretting playing the 3rd game. Next weekend is looking doubtful unless it miraculously heals quick, or I find some waaaay better painkillers
See #4107 above. Don't say you weren't warned!
Unfortunately I know, however in my (very limited) defence it was the 3's game where I didn't touch the ball :/
1-1 draw against the team one place below us. A fair result, the game could have gone either way. Goal was a PC that went in off my post man, not much I could do about that. I did make a couple of key saves, not spectacular, just important. We might have scored a few more had our forwards not been young lads from the 5th team.
Haven't heard anything about it. Having just joined the club I'm at the bottom of the pecking order. Think I'm likely to be out for 2-3 weeks with the hamstring anyway. Still very tight and painful today. Wouldn't have happened on a horrible sticky sand based!
@Inselaffen fair play mate
