    Hi,

I've tried to no avail to find a hockey club in South Korea to play for. Through a Korean friend, she managed to find out (or so we think) that the professional teams don't allow foreigners to play, and that lower level hockey can only be found in the huge cities, unfortunately which I'm nowhere near.

Does anyone have any information at all about playing in South Korea?

I know a few people are trying to set up weekly hockey in Daegu, just amongst foreigners. Can't seem to find any Korean teams to join or play with.

Search 'field hockey in south korea' on facebook and there's a group that's been set up. Might find some others in your area.

Sorry, I don't check this very often. And I'm afraid I have no idea where to get hockey equipment in Seoul.

I'd suggest buying what you need online and getting it sent here. That's what I'd do.

hi caco, hockey in Korea is basically played at Uni level or at the Army. One of friend told that basically beside national team training set up etc there are no league for amateur hockey. u can try to look at Uni or organise an expat team there to play against each others.

Hi Caco, This is Bryan Mo from Korea. I am currently working for FIH as an intern..and I know many hockey people in Korea. Maybe I can try to find a club for you.
Furthermore, if you have enough of foreign+local friends that willing to make a team, Maybe I can arrange something for your team to enter a tournament during this year.

For anyone looking to play, we have a regular foreigner team that plays in Seoul all year round. Join the facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/176227609102765/) and come play. We are very active nowadays and always looking for more players.

That standard is decent and we sometimes have ex-international players join us.
