There's also a bit of a story here on the BBC website.

None on the selection, of the players selected that I've seen or even the one I played with a few times they are all talented enough in their own right and deserve to be there.

The question will come down to ability to play as a team and the tactics of the management and coaching team to use them effectively. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can build on the back of good performances recently.

Personally I would like to see far less procrastination inside the 25, with players going for field goals if they get the opportunity. I worry about the women's ability to score in free play, Chloe Rogers top scorer at last world cup with two goals. I'm sure thats not going to terrify too many opponents.

No, I'm saying that I have no comment to make on the selection of the players and that they all deserve to be there.

A quick skwiz at the england hockey site a nd a comparison to the list above gives:

    Katy Roberts
    Hayley Brown
    Cathy Gilliat-Smith
    Becky Herbert
Sam Quek (who has some GB caps but no England-go figure)
    Sally Walton
    Kerry Williams

I'm too lazy to look at Scotland/Wales/NI sorry.

    Unlike your mum...

Or, rather, to make it clear that I wasn't referring specifically and rather rudely to Philthy's mum: unlike one's mum...

Redumpire, excuse my poor english, mate.

The question was about knowing if the England international player next year in my team was there or not, and also because I'm quite surprised none of the outstanding young players I saw last year at the u-18 is in the definite selection, and according to John (thank you, mate) also not at the working pre-selection.

Thanks all for the info, and all my best wishes for all those whose mums has not been selected, ask them on my behalf to keep fighting, and special greetings to Mrs.Redumpire, whose patience and understanding must make me not being misunderstood or carded by my blowing friend...

Lets toast with kao liam liquor to be all figting for gold in beijing and not for the wooden spoon, although I'm quite pesimistic on my owns...

Contra, I was, as you know, only joking. Your "poor English" is actually pretty good and is far, far better than my terrible Catalan!! :)

(And Mrs Redumpire is well-used to me after 15 years of marriage...)

Obviously I'm delighted for Stephen Dick and Ali McGregor but the selection looks a tad conservative for me. Hope I'm wrong. :eek:oh:
