just a suggestion.. how about a "wanted" sub board in the adverts section for people looking for items that people may just have for sale.

eg " does anyone have a pair of goalie shorts someone is willing to part with for around such and such a price?"

or does everyone think the way adverts section is fine the way it is??

Hey, Could we start a list of reputable buyers and sellers and a list of people not to buy or sell from/to?

Don't know where it would go hence me not starting one..

I just think that it would be good so you can see who is good or bad to buy and sell from/to.. Kinda like ebay's stars system but with names?

Could we update the Calander to include international fixtures, tests/friendlies... and the begining of national league seasons?

That would be one massive job, considering how impressively international this forum truly is. Even just keeping up with all the international matches around the world would be a daunting task.

A really massive job for someone, but how about making the diary open.

A member puts in a date with all the information, but it is under the moderation team to check before allowing the date to be taken up. i.e.,

    Date(s)
International Match/ Friendly/ training course, etc
    Times - Doors opens
    Games
    Teams Playing if known
    Venue including full address
    Ticket Costs
    Web site for further information

This way National Bodies might want touse the service to advertise the event as well as their own ?

When it has been confirmed, the moderator allows the date to be taken?

A simple access form will do it to generate the request but will that work with this forum, That is up to the builders and programmers.

SMF (which this forum runs on) has a function built into the calendar which when enabled allows users to add events to the calendar.

In fact it seems it's enabled here already :) (go to calendar then Add Event button, down towards the bottom right hand side). So people could be adding events to the calendar.

    I have it too.

You have to pass to the next members category to achieve the few rights here. Obviously this is one of them..

It does not seem to work for me either, so you must have to get up to the magic 1000 posts.

I've got it available, I see it as post event.

It's either a glitch in my favour or a mod or magpie has seen this and made the change and then not told anyone

    very sneaky :p

I have not been playing round setting, however if people can tell me who has and who does not either Neo or myself will try and see what the problem is. In general though members need to have made at least 25 posts for most of the options to become active.

Calendar visible for members, but junior members { <25 posts } can't add events.

    Controller has access

General Permissions Permission (denied permissions are struck out)
calendar_edit_own Edit events in the calendar - Own events Given by: Regular Members, Club Captain
calendar_post Create events in the calendar Given by: Club Captain
calendar_view View the calendar Given by: Regular Members, Club Captain

    Edgy doesn't , as he/she is a junior member { < 25 posts}

    He.

I guess that I will just have to make random posts, spam and such until I reach the threshold. Much like this post which I feel is pretty redundant. I will try and string them out a little...

I can understand why you wouldn't want someone to just log on and wreak havoc but perhaps a 'vouching system' so full privileges can be extended to some junior members from the outset as long as their referee (umpire ;)) is legit?

I've been on other forums where spam and such is frowned upon because of server overload or some rubbish...
