    There all day Friday!

Umpiring on Saturday and the missus has booked me on Sunday. Otherwise I'd have been down there on one of the other days to see Reading play.

Ortiz's first game umpired at the EHL.

He'll want his first decision to be easy!

Cracking day yesterday. Was there for all 4 matches. Rott-Weiss Koln were highly impressive but watching Bloemendaal play was a real treat, especially Teun de Nooijer. A great display of Hockey from the Dutch team. Hope today and tomorrow are just as good although it appears the weather maybe better than it was yesterday!

Great result for Kelburne this morning. Barring a crazy result tomorrow that will see them through to the knock-out phase.

Great result for Kelburne ...there (probably) will be 15 teams hoping they draw them in the last 16!

Reading, outplayed yet again by Dragons, better team won, big game tomorrow

Garvey "stand up for the Garvey men" ..... great comeback to tie the game with 3 last quarter goals. Timmy Cockram's first flick was superb!
Just got to do better than 2-7 tomorrow.

Quack quack ...time for the ducks

If anyone wants my two tickets free I'd rather they went to some use than sat wasted. So they're free to the first person to ask. I'll email them to you at some point later tonight.

Wiki, I'd love to use them mate, but I've been to Durham today and a trip to EG tomorrow just isn't on the cards. I hope someone takes them off you...

(PS Did you play today? What a great result for Preston.)

Yes I played (not very well but still) and it was a great finish to my Preston career.

I believe they were missing players, but it's still a huge result for us.

...also the tickets didn't go. It's a shame really.

So what's the general consensus on the weekend? Is it being considered a success? Could we see future EHL weekends coming to England? There was a decent sized crowd on Friday. What about Saturday and Sunday?

Sunday was great for the last 3 matches but the Rot-Weiss game was empty
