Agree, except Lisnagarvey over Lille
Hi all - got the information i need, it would appear the EHB and EG were working together, and for some period to bring this round of EHL matches to England.
Congrats to both for working together so effectively in bringing Euro hockey to these shores.
(Just to note - i was not the person accusing the EHB of jumping on a bandwagon, I simply was curious to the wording as it came across as an EHB and not EG event, which is unussual as most events in the EHL are club driven.)
I'll be a close match but not seen ethier play, just a random guess on that one. Tho I wish Lisnagarvey good luck!
Tickets are available according to the EG website. £12.50 for an adult day pass, fantastic value for money as there will be up to 4 matches.
Isn't the usual Round 1 schedule 4 games on each day (Fri, Sat & Sun), one from each group? So you'll get 4 games for your £12.50 rather than "up to 4".
depends if you go all day!
That, MK, is an excellent point, very well made!
Yeah, sorry that's what i meant!
I intend to be there from the start on the Friday. Gonna be an early start from down here in southampton though in order to miss the rush hour traffic.
Ticket came through yesterday, woo Hoo! Really looking forward to this. Think it was number 661 so they appear to be selling well for the Friday.
Does anyone know if they broadcast it on tv if so what channels will they be on ( I live in oz and I got foxtel )
I've been appointed as TO for Round 1.1 in Barcelona. Very pleased with that appointment!
Need any help carrying your kit?
Only if Keira Knightly... sorry... ahem... Only if Mrs Red is available that weekend. But thanks all the same, Kilmory.
Considering going on the sunday, but would mean playing saturday then jumping in the car to drive 3 hours plus then get back late sunday night. I reckon England Hockey should just cancel all other matches that weekend to ensure the focus is solely on the EHL. This is a big deal and potentially a fantastic advert for clubs in England. Is there any way England Hockey can push for this to be shown on BBC/C4? Or do Eurosport/EHL hold all the cards here?
Edit: I could always just make sure i'm injured on sat 27th...
Edit: used the word 'hockey' too much and it annoyed me.
I've got Sunday tickets. Just hope no one at EH decides to make it a cup weekend!
Let me know if you need a list of all the places you NEED to avoid on that weekend
Wel...due to me emigrating in 10 days or so, I'm a bit busy this coming weekend (Leaving 'do'). So, I have a pair of tickets for sale for the Sunday. I'm looking for £20 for the pair, which is a couple of quid less than I paid.
So who's actually going this weekend? I'm there on Sunday!
I'm there Friday. Looking forward to seeing Bloomendaal play.
