No offence to Lisnagarvey and Kelburne but the other 6 ties look fantastic. Now that the Belgian clubs are challenging, there are no easy ties in the knock-out stages. Cant see Reading winning, so methinks it'll be Beeston in the quarters.

Agreed. Although Reading have good recent history in the EHL I can't see them overturning an inform Rotterdam team!

Shame the brits got drawn against each other. Would have been better to have more of our teams in the quarters. Should be an interesting match though!!

No, that's why I asked. I think that freebird is assuming that the winners of first game in the list will play the winners of the second etc.. It's a reasonable assumption, but it's not definite.

I think if the regs are the same as last year KO8 goes something like this
    Pool A Winner's match vs Pool H Winner's match
    Pool D Winner's match vs Pool E Winner's match

    Pool B Winner's match vs Pool G Winner's match
    Pool C Winner's match vs Pool F Winner's match

this wasn;t one of the listed changes in this years regs so potentially the draw looks something like this:

    Beeston - East Grinstead
    RW Koln - Royal Leopold

    Waterloo Ducks - Berliner
    Atletic Terrassa - Amsterdam

    Dragons - Lisnagarvey
    Bloemendaal - Club de Campo

    Rotterdam - Reading
    Uhlenhorst Mulheim - Kelburne

Then again, it might be exactly as they released. Who knows?!

wcbc123, as far as I can see, the details of the draw aren't specified in the EHL regs to that level of detail. All I can find on the draw for Round 3 is:
So, my reading of that is that a draw will have been made to determine who plays who in Round 3. I suspect it will be published on the 'schedule' tab of the EHL site before too long.

redumpire - This is what was on the EH website

Whoever progresses - Beeston or East Grinstead - they’ll face a tough test in KO8 (the quarter finals) with the victor drawn to face the winner of the HC Bloemendaal (NED) v Club de Campo (ESP) tie. Should Reading beat Rotterdam, who finished fourth last year, they will play the winner of KHC Dragons (BEL) versus Lisnagarvey (IRL), the surprise package of Round 1.2.
See the draw in full below.

EURO HOCKEY LEAGUE KO16 AND KO8 DRAW
Ties to be played 29 March - 1 April 2013

HC Rotterdam (NED) v Reading (ENG)
KHC Dragons (BEL) v Lisnagarvey (IRL)

Atletic Terrassa (ESP) v Amsterdam H&BC (NED)
Waterloo Ducks (BEL) v Berliner (GER)

Beeston (ENG) v East Grinstead (ENG)
HC Bloemendaal (NED) v Club de Campo (ESP)

Uhlenhorst Mulheim (GER) v Glynhill Hotel Kelburne (SCO)
Rot-Weiss Koln (GER) v Royal Leopold (BEL)

I'd go similar. The two closest games might be the Amsterdam and Bloemendaal games. Nicely drawn for the German sides to say they should get one team in the last 4.

Thanks freebird. They've obviously made the draw for KO8 but not put it on the EHL website.

It's just nice to see so many teams from the UK & Ireland in the last 16 lets just hope the games are great adverts for the sport, high scoring end to end stuff and lots of drama thrown in =) last minute equalizers etc
