Red - hoping to hear from you at some stage over the weekend. What is your role?

That 3rd goal from UHC was absolutely outstanding, hopefully we get to see a few more over the weekend.

The Spanish might be doing (very) well in the Europa League, but all hopes here now rest on Terassa turning over Bloemendaal.

Very cheeky 3rd goal from Bakker.

    And now it's four.

Bakker's goal was very nice. Kazan are looking threatening in little passages of play, hopefully they can get something.

Just as I post that Amsterdam get awarded a PS, here comes the 6th... :p

Or not, another great save from the GK.

If Takema had been dropped before being recently recalled for the national squad because of his poor PC conversion rate - as I seem to recall being the general belief - then getting none today won't help his cause. Accepted there were some great saves, but even so...

Getting bored of the Axel F music, but loved the Zorba the Greek at halftime.

Bloemendaal v Terassa : umpires having a busy (and good) match.
    Game on at 4:3

So it's tatty bye and t'sarrahwell to the Spanish teams.

I'm here as one of the table officials, G64. I was at the table for games 2&4 yesterday and will be there for 2&3 today. The best seat in the house for the best club hockey in Europe!

Love the world weary sound of the Spanish umpire's calls of "play on."

Cracking game on now. Mulheim comeback from 4:0 down to 4:3 with 20 minutes left.
Oh, and the boat race stopped by a swimmer, followed by Oxford breaking an oar in steering clash.

Wow. Don't envy the poor so and so's on the tech table for that one.
Hertzberger Sr. for Dick of the Day methinks.

    And now for Reading.

Why? Best seats in the house for a game like that? Fantastic experience! It is COLD out there though.

Does Marcin Grochal (the Polish umpire) read FHF?
Just heard him asking for the PWGKP to make sure they have access to a helmet!

Red - I meant with regard to having to sort out all the controversy during the penalty shuttles.
Also, just sending you a PM

Sunday : Not looking good for Beeston at half time. Also, shame there seemsto be no streaming of the women's games in the EuroHockey Club Champions Cup

Real shame about Beeston (My club), they just weren't marking properly in the D, then fell apart in the second half.

Dragons getting to the Semi's shows Belgian hockey is on the up and up.

No surprise considering the size of the clubs there, the facilities and the money available

Just got back to Newcastle now, brilliant weekend even if the weather was pants! Some cracking matches though my personal favorite has to be Amsterdam vs bloomendahl, rohoff running over to the guy dressed as the bloomen bird/fish was hilarious, also chuffed Amsterdam went through.

Not a great weekend for the English teams, thought eg deserved to beat Rotterdam but they just couldn't take their chances!

I'm expecting a Amsterdam UHC final though who will win that I've no idea!

If my mental arithmetic is correct Belgium will replace Spain as having three teams in the EHL next season. Unlucky for Spain as they came up against three strong sides in the KO16, but it really does show the advances being made in Belgium. Similarly I think I might be right in saying Scotland may even have two places next year following the poor performances by the Irish and Polish sides.

Last year they went on sale soon as the Final four venue was announced. So I'd say end of April most likely.
