I am starting to Spec out a list of features of my mobile app.

This will be a beginners app to start with and moving eventually to more advanced techniques.

What information would you like to see on it?

    Kit Wise
    • Kit Choices
    • Sizing Chart
    • What to buy
    Starting out with kit
    • How to pad up
    • What to check
    • Kit Maintenance
Basic movement inc warm up drills etc?

As a new goalkeeper some practices you can do without others when others are doing specific drills in training and some specific fitness/ stretching to prevent injury.

It should be great if you can make it multilingual so we can translate the articles/schemes/etc to other languages. It would be great for junior GKs without proper training (this means every club here... :D )

£4.99 is a lot of money for an app...

I think you need to *sell* it/yourself/your credentials a bit more before anyone's likely to fork out for it

It's not like a book where you can flip through and see if it's what you were expecting before you hand over the cash!

The amount of work its taken to get to this point is alot. I appreciate that £4.99 may seem a lot but if you think about the software costs and updates that will be provided within it and a lasting product I don't think its over priced at all. If for example you went onto a full English coaching course for level 2 coaches it would set you back £405. surely thats a small price to pay?

I absolutely understand why you've priced it at that and in the real world it's not a lot of money... but, in the app world, where you pay 99p for most things (if not get the vast majority for free), £4.99 is an expensive app - you need to know what you're getting for that £4.99

for example - FIFA on the ipad costs £4.99 - everyone knows what that is, you know it's good, you know the company's reputable, you know you're getting an enormous product

£4.99 for 19 digital pages from someone I've never heard of is a lot of money in the app world...

Thats the start of it. Trying to get endorsements and backing from such Governing Bodies and other professional outfits can be challenging, thats the next stage to create a creditable resource for all to use. Yes i agree, but I have to start somewhere.

If people would be willing to give it a look over then thats how reviews and good recommendations start. I take it it is difficult to judge at this present time in your view?

I'd love to give it a look - but to quote myself,
If you want people to look and review, my opinion is that you're going to have to slash the price (at least to start with)

Possibly. But I think you're going to need to offer an awful lot more than text and diagrams to justify that amount of money - especially considering the number of training videos on youtube and various pdf's that people have shared on this site (and others) that are free...
