    * Parkville is Melbourne's only gay hockey team but all inclusive with guys, girls, gay and straight and people of all ages and fitness levels playing :)

    How can you claim to be the only gay hockey team, but then say you're all inclusive? Surely then, you are just a hockey club with some gay people in it? Don't tell anyone - but I think there may be a few gays in most clubs. My club play in pink, so I'm sure if I asked I could find a couple lol

    Not trying to be offensive. It's late - I'm bored - and you post amused me.

    I suppose the difference is we actively promote ourselves and look for GLBTI players but are happy for anyone to come along and play.

    The team was formed to participate in the first Asia Pacific OutGames and since then we have also participated in the World Outgames in Belgium and hope to participate in the next Asia pacific out games in Darwin.

    I don't think any of the other clubs around Melbourne participate in those events, I guess that's the big difference too.

    I don't think you reply is offensive, but also don't think it was unnecessary.

    Former club (was also a committee/executive member - this might give me away)
    Scone Hockey Club - http://sconehockey.org.au/
    Hockey played on grass in the Upper Hunter Shire, covering the towns of Scone, Muswellbrook and surrounds. Part of the larger Hunter Hockey Association.
