Your assessor will be looking for a confident and competent performance.

The debrief always brings up a few coaching points; typically positioning, signalling, or co-operation with your colleague. But that is to encourage your continuing development, not to criticise.

You'll only fail if you are woefully timid and show huge gaps in your rules knowledge - and given how you post on FHF, that's impossible.

Enjoy the game. I look forward to reading how it went.

Yea I have noticed that through my practice games. If your confident and blow early people tend to jsut get on with it, if you don't things tend to get out of hand. Only thing is giving cards, for people saying stuff, like disagreeing with decisions etc will just see how it goes. If they get too gobby they will be meeting mr green and yellow.

What else did we expect?!

Keep working at it. Now you are on the umpiring ladder you'll find you climb it much faster without a team to hold you down.

Glad I passed but I would still rather play than umpire, but will have to do some games in the coming season.

Weelcome to the club Craggsy and congratulations!. Just wondered if you found about your assessors " pet hates" (what did he ecourage you to try and do?.

I have seen a certain assessor (no mame for obvious reasons) whose pet hates are the following to name a few

Defenders and 5m from free hits particulary sideline balls

Only blowing when you have to and not 'technical' offences
    Positioning
    Signalling
Danger/lifted balls that aren't dangerous are not illegal)
    Whistle tones
The difference between fhd defence and a "16" to name but a few.. The list is endless!.

    All are important of course!
